 Clifton, Cape Town
Overview Attractions Branches News

Largely touted as Cape Town's most affluent suburb, with glorious beaches and the Atlantic Ocean literally on its doorstep, Clifton is the epitome of luxury living.

Famous for its four pristine beaches - Clifton 1-4 - the neighbourhood is a small, tranquil piece of paradise, located between Sea Point and Camps Bay. With properties hugging the cliffs or built bordering the beach, there is mix of quaint bungalows, modest beach houses and beautiful mansions.

A favourite summer destination for locals - and visiting holiday-makers - Clifton is a hive of activity during the day, but is not as densely populated as the neighbouring Camps Bay, making it less crowded during the summer months.

Shopping

The V&A Waterfront is a 10-minute drive away and here you will find everything from luxury retail stores and markets to electronics and speciality shops. Camps Bay is a mere five-minute drive with a supermarket and some smaller retail stores based on the strip.

Restaurants and bars

The Camps Bay strip offers a vibey, upmarket selection of bars and restaurants to choose from, while Somerset Road in Green Point is also a great option, albeit a little further out.

Schools

Camps Bay Junior and High Schools are both nearby, while Sea Point also has some fine options for schools, such as Sea Point Primary and Sea Point High School. Reddam House in Green Point is an excellent option and just five minutes away.

Hospitals

The Sea Point Medical Centre, Cape Town Mediclinic and Christian Barnard Hospital in the Cape Town City Centre are all easily accessible by car.
