Do you have a Trusted Property Advisor?

Adaptation and the ability to pivot quickly to best practice is crucial in times of fluctuation and are incredibly important to any business - and industry - and the property Industry is no different. The COVID-19 pandemic that has swept the globe, in particular, has shown how models unable to do this can quickly succumb in times of crises.

Businesses that are mobile, lightweight and able to digitise their operations will always be well-placed in environments like this. The real estate industry can be well-served by technology, but while things like virtual and augmented reality will add to the industry, it will still be people leading from the forefront.

So, while digital readiness is important - and it is something The Agency Property Group has embraced wholeheartedly - the need to engage with people will never be obsolete. This has always been an important facet of The Agency model and following the COVID-19 pandemic, it will only become more so. By their very nature, people need a trusted advisor, somebody they can relate to, a person who can look out for their best interests, and somebody they can build a relationship with.

The Agency has always placed a premium on human interactions, and have built their model on not just mobility, but a personal touch. The company's Managing Director, Kyle Leigh, stresses that like any investment portfolio, people buying/selling property should have a single advisor to work with - for life.

"Similar to an attorney or a financial advisor, people should have a single contact person for their Real Estate needs," says Leigh.

"Venturing into a suburb of choice, speaking to multiple agents, and viewing property after property, does not make sense. But if you have a single advisor to meet with and who can do the legwork for you - that will save you on not only time, but money.

"The numbers speak for themselves as you cut out a lot of unnecessary steps by having a Trusted Property Advisor actively negotiating on your behalf."

The Agency have always prided themselves on going the extra mile, pre and post-sale, building a strong network of clients who they continue to work with. Going forward, Leigh says that they intend on building this notion further.

"We understand our clients' needs, their tastes and their budgets. We also understand the market and can cut out a lot of the thinking involved in the process and we don't consider the deal a one-time handshake. We are more than agents; we are Trusted Property Advisors and we want to be our clients' advisors for life."

In closing, Leigh believes The Agency is well-placed to grow its services further, with its ability to adapt and work quickly, and personably setting it apart.

"We are a year-and-a-half in, our systems are in place and our advisors can work from anywhere they like - we are built for this situation.

"From a technology standpoint, our strategy has always been to adopt best practice and continue to innovate in this field. Technology has, in particular, played a vital role in providing a digital operational platform and a seamless online working environment. Are virtual tours the future of real estate right now? Personally, I don't think it is in its current format. It can add some value to certain properties, but I would much prefer having a Trusted Property Advisor on site, guiding me through the home and identifying the smallest of details via video calls, WhatsApp calls, Facebook Live, etc.

"More importantly, we are doubling down on people. By investing in our relationships with our advisors and partners, we have created an environment of trust, respect and happiness which leads to a greater desire to provide exceptional service to our clients because ultimately, better people become better agents.''
