With winter just around the corner, our thoughts are turning to a comfort from the chill and what better way to stave off the cold, and keep the shivers at bay, than by filling the belly with good food and drink?
Thankfully, Cape Town has always been a foodie heaven and new restaurants and eateries are constantly delighting us with their fare. Since the beginning of the year, plenty have opened their doors with a fine spread to be found across the Mother City.
Atlantic Seaboard and CBD
Pier
'Location, Location, Location' doesn't only apply to property and Scot Kirston's latest addition, Pier, certainly takes advantage of its vantage point on the Pierhead at the V&A Waterfront, with iconic views sure to complement the exquisite food in sensational fashion.

One Park
Gardens has always been for the cool kids, with its cool retro vibes mixing seamlessly with its more modern assertions and One Park is the perfect fit. An eatery (and bar) combined with a vinyl store - and an art gallery apparently on the way - you can get the best of all of it, tucking into delectable dishes, sipping on sublime cocktails, while picking up some records while you're at it.
Blondie
It's not like Kloof Street needed to add a new spot to its already bursting at the seams restaurant and bar collection, but nobody's complaining! Blondie opened its doors late last year and is already one of the coolest spots on the strip with its off beat eats and cocktails served to with a backdrop of loud, funky beats.

Chef Yen Nguyen got started at the Oranjezicht City Farm Market and has since moved to the in De Waterkant, bringing his authentic Vietnamese fare to the trendy Cape Quarter. Order at the counter and take a seat - a feast awaits.
Bo-Vine Wine and Grill House
Something for the meat lovers, this new addition to the Camps Bay strip is carnivore heaven. With a butchery on site, cuts are presented to patrons to make an informed choice, with sides, sauces and salads. There is a reason for the 'Wine' in the name with an impressive list to choose from, ranging Stellenbosch to the Swartland and beyond.
Southern Suburbs
